About the Author

Diane Kane writes short stories and poetry. Her self-published children’s book, Brayden the Brave is featured at Boston Children’s Hospital to help families dealing with medical issues. She belongs to two writers groups and enjoys sharing the love of writing with others. Diane has been published in Goose River Anthology and is one of the co-producers and contributors of Time’s Reservoir, a Quabbin Quills Anthology. Diane lives in a small rural town in Western Massachusetts and spends her summers on the rocky shores of Maine chasing her dreams of writing.

Kathy Chencharik lives across the road from the Millers River in the North Quabbin area, where she likes to capture wildlife in the lens of her camera. She is a free-lance writer whose poetry, non-fiction, and fiction have appeared in several newspapers, magazines, and anthologies. She won the Derringer Award for best flash fiction for “The Book Signing” in Thin Ice (a Level Best Books anthology, 2010). She earned numerous honorable mentions in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine’s “The Story That Won” contest; eight of which are included in Flash in the Can.

Sharon A. Harmon is a freelance writer and poet. She has been published in Birds & Blooms, Chicken Soup for the Soul and The Uniquely Quabbin Magazine, as well as numerous other publications. Her second chapbook of poetry, Wishbone in a Lightning Jar was recently published and she attends many poetry venues. She lives with her husband deep in the woods of western Massachusetts.

Phyllis Cochran has been writing and publishing stories for over twenty-five years. Her work has appeared in Woman’s World, Grit, Purpose, Women Alive, Focus on the Family, Chicken Soup for the Soul and various national and international publications. She has run writers' workshops and taught classes on "Writing for Publication." Her memoir, Shades of Light, was published in 2006. Phyllis enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for her great-grandchildren and walking family member's dogs.
