My name is John Bell Hood III, I am called Flaco by my family and friends and Asgayvli Asgaya, which means Old Man by my people the Cherokees. I am the last in a long line of men known by this name and my job is to protect my people and my family.

About the Author

Loren was born in Warner Oklahoma and attended school in Pope's Chapel Oklahoma. He is a member of the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah. His ancestors were part of the mass relocation by the US government, known as the Trail of Tears. He served in the US Navy, Mine Force Pacific.
