About the Author

Kimura is an active environmental conservationist. Her unique research-and-development skills led to successes in industrial fishing, fashion design and filters used in environmental cleanup.

At a young age, Kimura helped her father develop and produce, with political oversight, a special fishing research project for the government of Mexico and the Japanese Fishing Association. These pioneering achievements have been recognized for their educational value because they successfully focused on environmentally safe capture and processing methods for fresh and frozen seafood products. Kimura acted as the ambassador for the Japanese Fishing Association in Mexico for many years and worked closely with the Department of Fisheries, and the Tuna and Swordfish Associations of Mexico. She also served as Administrative Adviser and Assistant to the President in one of Matsushita's (Panasonic) Electronic plants in Mexico under the guidelines and support of NAFTA. She consulted in the manufacturing operations of more than 600 employees and established their first Administrative Quality Control Department.

Kimura also has extensive experience as a freelance artist in textile and fashion designs that were carried by such retailers as Neiman Marcus, Fred Segal, Z Gallery and more. Her experience and expertise as an image consultant/stylist for the advertising and entertainment industries include such clients as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Kodak, Disney, Miller Brewing Co., Japan Tobacco, Asahi Beer and more. Kimura has also developed new images and worked with many top celebrity performers in different capacities. In recent years, Kimura also produced a very successful commercial for Coca-Cola Japan.

Kimura is now retired from the fishing and fashion industries and is committed to helping the environment. Her communication skills include fluency in English, Japanese and Spanish languages.
