Financial Advice From Dad
This essay is a concise, practical financial guide for young (or old) adults starting out on their own (or starting over). It could be considered "Personal Finance 101." I originally wrote it for my own adult children when they started their careers. When they were growing up we rarely talked about finances, budgets, saving, or investing. I was very busy with my own career, and found it difficult to talk to my kids about money. In this respect I don't think I'm alone.

I'm not a professional financial planner, and this isn't a complicated, comprehensive financial or investing guide. This is the foundation for planning your financial future, based my own experience and mistakes made along the way.
