About the Author

D. L. Washington is a wife, mother and grandmother from the Washington, DC METRO area. She grew up on the streets of DC and MD for most of her teenage years and manage to escape the adversities of drugs, death, sex and abuse. Having a spiritual connection with Jesus and having Faith, through it all, she defeated her battle with depression. Most of her personal time is consumed by family and sports. She enjoys being a mother and cooking for events. She has a passion for education and being successful. She continued her education and obtained a Bachelors in Project Management and working on her Masters in Human Services, Counseling and Ministry. She is the Founder and CEO of a non-profit organization, The 3 C’s of the Trinity for community outreach. For her, this book was therapeutic and encouragement for the struggles of being a young adult. She believes in the Word of God, that He has a plan to prosper, giving hope and a future. God has a plan for all of our lives. When you are hurting or feeling down, just give it to GOD. He prepares us for our trials and if you believe and give it to Him, He will take you through it. Life doesn't stop and neither does trouble and adversity. BUT GOD will carry you through. He promised HE would always be there.
