Kelsee Devoreaux, is one of Hollywood’s top, African American, stuntwomen, with over 18 years experience. She has performed stunts on such hit film and television shows as: The Matrix Reloaded, Terminator (4th Film), Enter The Matrix (Game), Collateral, The Italian Job, The Time Machine, Scream 2, Set It Off, Like Mike, ER, Cradle 2 The Grave, The Bernie Mac Show, Any Day Now, My Wife & Kids, Half & Half, NYPD Blue, The Nutty Professor II - The Klumps, The Parkers, American Dreams, The Hot Chick, and One On One, just to name a few. She has doubled such well known actresses as: Jada Pinkett Smith, Janet Jackson, Nia Long, Stacey Dash, Elise Neal, Meagan Good, Camille Winbush, Countess Vaughn, Essence Atkins, Kyla Pratt, Li’l Kim, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes (1971-2002), Malinda Williams, and many others. She has also performed many daring stunts before camera like: High Falls, Car Crashes, Fights, Ratchets, Car Hits, Stairs, Wirework, Near Miss, Explosions, Cable Work, Harness Work, Jumping into the Mississippi River, Motion Capture Work, etc. Which also allowed her to work with well known actors, actresses and directors like: Michael Mann, Andy and Larry Wachowski, F. Gary Gray, John Singleton, Wes Craven, Jonathan Kaplan, Tony Singletary, Ellen Gittlesohn, Billie Woodruff, Forest Whitaker, Chris Robinson, and Frances Lawrence just to name a few.
Kelsee is the first African American stuntwoman in history to become a member of The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. She is only one of three African American stuntwomen in the prestigious Stuntwomen’s Association of Motion Pictures. She holds an Associates of Arts Degree, along with many awards and magazine write-ups.
She is striving toward obtaining her 2nd Unit Director’s card, which will be a great accomplishment. Kelsee also branched out into motivational (empowerment) speaking to youth and adults alike. She has authored three other books entitled, STUNT Ph.D. "How To Get Into The Stunt Game," "STUNTS÷Court= …A Bitter Custody Battle…And It's Battle Scars,'' and "SCANDAL: Hollywood STUNT SLAVES."
