About the Author

Professor R Vasantha Jayakantha Raja currently works in SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur. He is actively working in the research field of nonlinear fiber optics and ultra-fast optics and focusses on numerical modelling of nonlinear pulse propagation through solid and liquid core Photonic crystal fiber (PCF) for various nonlinear applications.

A Esther Lidiya received her MSc and MPhil degree in Physics from Gandhigram Rural Institute-Deemed University. She submitted her PhD thesis in the field of nonlinear fiber optics at SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur. Her current research work is on generating ultrashort pulses through nonlinear pulse compression techniques using photonic crystal fiber.
