Overview

It's difficult to truly understand Ferguson, Missouri, the Michael Brown shooting, or present-day race relations in America without first getting a grasp on the historical events that preceded the 2014 riots. Events, attitudes, and practices from several centuries ago put the United States on the path to becoming a nation of two societies--one black, one white--separate and unequal.

"Ferguson: Americas Breaking Point" begins where slavery in America "officially" ended--after the Civil War. Tim Suereth explores the pivotal events that led the United States into continuing strife between its own people, and describes the circumstances which caused the Ferguson race riots. He also speculates about what the repercussions will be for other racially-divided cities across the country, and for law enforcement organizations everywhere.

"Ferguson: Americas Breaking Point" ends in Ferguson, a small suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, that became the epicenter of the fight for civil rights in the 21st century. The book describes the details of the Michael Brown shooting, and aftermath, in a daily timeline of memorable moments, by Darren Wilson, the Brown family, law enforcement, the Federal Government, activists, anarchists and the judicial system.

Racial rioting will continue in America until policymakers heed the advice of the 1968 Presidential Commission on Civil Disorders, which concluded that the deepening racial division among the races can be reversed if swift action is taken, but warned: "If we are heedless, none of us shall escape the consequences." American politicians have been heedless, and Ferguson was the consequence. Read "Ferguson: America's Breaking Point" to learn the startling and worrisome details.

About the Author

Tim Suereth has lived in Florida for the past 25 years, mainly in an area of Miami known as South Beach. It's an outdoor-mans paradise; a perfect place to live for someone seeking some excitement.

Tim's excitement seeking began early in his life. He moved away from his home, in St. Charles, Missouri, at the age of thirteen, to train at the country's premier boys gymnastics training center, in Pennsylvania. Although he was the youngest team member to have ever been accepted to the program, his youth didn't deter him from quickly progressing to become one of the highest ranked gymnasts in the country.

Tim eventually grew tired of the 5-hour daily workouts and moved home to Missouri at the age of fifteen to resume a normal life as a teenager, only 20 miles from Ferguson. Normalcy didn't last long. By seventeen, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado for three years of military service; eventually being recruited to the U.S. Army Boxing Team. After the Army, Tim moved to Florida to get an education. Although he graduated from the University of South Florida, his real education would come later, when he entered the world of business and politics.

After college, Tim worked as a Stockbroker with a major securities firm, but after becoming disillusioned by the realities of being a money manager for a large corporation, he left the firm to open his own small stock brokerage business based on Miami Beach. He then helped an associate write a 4-volume book series on investing, and after the book was done, Tim refocused his efforts on aviation and spent the next year acquiring his Instrument, multi-engine and commercial pilots licenses. Once Tim became a commercial pilot, real-estate development caught his attention, and from then on, he has bought, sold and developed real estate in Florida, and now only fly's for fun.

For the past 14 years Tim has been involved with both state and national political and communications campaigns. He's been sued--he's been slandered--and he's been bullied by billionaires for the truths he's revealed. Tim's undercover work for the United States Customs has garnered him praise as "the best they've ever worked with." He has told his stories as a ghostwriter in the past, but will now expose what he knows through books and documentary films. Ferguson: America's Breaking Point is the first.
