The hand we are dealt in life is beyond our control. The choices that we make is what truly makes the difference. Life is not always easy, but you need to believe that the journey is always worth it. Yes there will be tough times, Yes there will be depressing times, Yes there will be times when you feel like you do not have the energy to make it anymore, but how you respond to those unpleasant times will set you apart from everyone else.

I know that growing up Fatherless or Motherless is not ideal for any child or any family; however, that is something that is beyond our control. Your focus needs to be on things that you do have control over. The only person you have control over is yourself. Trust me I know the emotional trauma you endured growing up in a single parent home. It was not always an easy task for me either but through it all I overcame the struggles. After the storm clears up the sun is there shining with such passion. God is with you every step of the way, through the good and the bad. So, I want every boy and girl, every man and woman to know that you are not alone. Success is on the other side of the struggles and obstacles.

Look at me just a small-town girl from Greenville, SC with big city dreams. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Administration and Management. Also, I am the business owner of KidzFusion, which is a mobile kids' fitness company. These are just a couple of my accomplishments and trust me my journey is far from over. I know it may sound a bit cliché, but it is the truth. I overcame so much on my journey and accomplished so many things along the way. My vision has always been clear. Now I want to give you advice from my perspective and experiences. To show you that you are not alone. To give you a support system within me and to guide you in whichever way I possibly can do so. Your blessing is at the top of that steep hill you must climb!

About the Author

Stephanie Sterling was born to become a successful entrepreneur. Her passion for others shines in every aspect of her life. Growing up in Greenville, South Carolina, Stephanie developed a deep love for people that translates into a protective instinct to help others on all levels. Whether she is giving advice, being a listening ear, volunteering her time to her community, or just being there for her loved ones as well as strangers she come across who needs her help and support. Driven and ambitious is something she has always been since her childhood years. Always excelling in school by making good grades, she excelled on all levels in school with little assistance. She has always been naturally gifted to be self-motivated. Stephanie strived to have the grades it would take to obtain a top-level college education, and her decision to major in business was part of her master plan to own multiple businesses. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a BS in Business Administration and Management.


Formerly Stephanie was the founder of KidzFusion, a mobile kid’s fitness program designed especially for children to help them overcome obesity and other weight-related issues. Her goal was to combat childhood obesity so that in turn, it will defeat adult obesity. The plan and vision were to start locally with those she can immediately help, and eventually scale her initiatives much larger, changing the lives of children one family at a time. She volunteered her time in the community by working with nonprofit organizations such as Our Hidden Treasures Inc, Children’s Hospital Council, and other local organizations.

Now by way of Dallas, Texas Stephanie continues to leave an unforgettable imprint no matter where she lands. Locally she is a part of Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Dallas, Treasured Vessels Foundation, Hunger Busters, and Leadership ISD Civic Voices Fellowship. Big Brothers Big Sisters helps her cultivate her 10 years plus passion for working with the youth. As a mentor with the program in Greater Dallas, she continues to make an impact in our community.
