Overview

Albert Sumac, an aspiring playwright, rebels against his military father. He believes that if modern man is to regain his lost nobility, he must return to the romantic spirituality which equates the love of a woman with the love of nature. Kathleen Brennan appears to personify this. He refers to her as Lady of My Lake, my Guinevere. But what happens when this love is unrequited? With imaginary mystical interludes and romantic epiphanies he seeks to escape the predatory spirit of his father’s bayonet. It is through Kathleen that is relationship with his father takes an unusual turn.

About the Author

Phillip Solomon was raised in Youngstown, Ohio. He entertained the idea of a military career and briefly attended West Point. After his resignation from the U.S Military Academy, he went on to receive a degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University. A family business beckoned in Ohio ad eventually in California. While in California he was able to hone his creative skills by attending John Rechy’s writing workshop at UCLA and Nina Foch’s acting class in Hollywood.
He has eclectic interest in literary fiction, philosophy, metaphysics, humanistic astrology and a holistic lifestyle.
