Overview

A war hero's widow, Graceanne still has her adorable three-year-old twin boys to love–until she receives a letter from her late husband's demanding cousin, Leland Warrington, the Duke of Ware. Appropriating one of his late cousin's twin sons as heir so he can avoid marriage seems a capital idea to the alcohol-besotted Duke of Ware. Unfortunately, the boy's mother doesn't agree; and when Graceanne Warrington storms into his hall in all her magnificent fury, his problems suddenly take on new, more interesting dimensions. The hero and heroine of this tale are beautifully matched and tormented by two mischievous three-year-olds. A cast of well-developed secondary characters people this light, often hilarious Regency that features deft language and priceless timing. Metzger has a long list of Regencies to her credit, including Lady Whilton's Wedding (Fawcett, 1995), and readers will be waiting for this one.
