This portable guide to radiology nursing provides comprehensive information about this emerging specialty in a concise format designed for speedy information retrieval. Purpose: The purpose is to provide nurses with the necessary specialty skills in this area. Radiology nurses need to have prior critical care and/or emergency nursing knowledge and assessment skills to practice effectively in this complex clinical area. An important focus of this resource has been to facilitate strategies for improved interprofessional care.
Audience: This book focuses specifically on nurses who are novice in the areas of radiology and imaging. This is an important primer that will assist nurses in moving to a higher level of clinical competence. The author is an experienced radiology nurse clinician and nurse manager. The contributors present clear and up-to-date information.
