About the Author

Stephen Leon is the author of the mystery novels Farmington River and Leave of Absence, as well as the short stories “The Quiet Game” and “Pink Slip.” He has worked for many years as a writer, editor, and educator, including 20 years editing and publishing the Albany, N.Y., alternative newsweekly Metroland. He also has taught writing at the University at Albany. Born and raised in Pittsfield, Mass., Leon received a bachelor's degree in economics from Princeton University, and a master's in journalism from Northwestern University. He lives in Albany with two of his four sons and two cats.
