Enemies become lovers thanks to an unusual living situation in this entertaining contemporary from Burke (Fly with Me). ER nurse Derek Chang hated his upstairs neighbor, Dylan Gallagher, before he even moved in, believing Dylan dated and dumped his recently deceased friend and long-time crush, Jake. When Dylan’s floor collapses and he literally falls into Derek’s bed, it’s unlikely to make the situation any better. Both hoping to stay off the homeowners’ association’s radar, they decide to keep the incident quiet. Dylan will crash with Derek while doing the repairs himself. Dylan, who has ADHD, is “intensely attracted” to Derek but thinks of himself as broken and believes the self-professed “himbo gym rat” will never return his feelings. As these reluctant roommates find common ground, however, desire grows on both sides. Giving in leads to “stupid, lovesick, radiant joy”—but their relationship is tested by trust issues, misunderstandings, and their complicated families. Burke fills both men’s lives with enjoyable and quirky supporting characters who help keep the somewhat thin plot moving. This is a delight. Agent: Mariah Nichols, D4EO Literary. (Sept.)

"With strong friendships, a full cast of delightful characters, and a story told from alternating points of view, this enemies-to-lovers and forced-proximity romance from Burke (Fly with Me) explores serious issues such as neurodivergence, alcohol-use disorder, toxic family expectations, forgiveness, and grief, while still being a steamy, humorous, and hopeful read." Library Journal (starred review)
"FALL FOR HIM is the kind of rom com that checks all of the boxes. Two characters with real, relatable issues? Check! So much tension and banter? Check! The perfect combination of laughs and spice? Double check! Andie Burke's sophomore novel is a true triumph, a book I haven't been able to stop thinking about. It's safe to say I fell for this book and readers will too!" Falon Ballard, author of RIGHT ON CUE
"Fall For Him is enemies-to-lovers perfection all wrapped up with a beautiful forced proximity bow. The chemistry between Dylan and Derek is sizzling and organic, and their love story will have you turning the page at lightning-fast speed. Andie's banter is god tier, her voice is a breath of fresh air, and I am a forever fan." Lana Ferguson, USA Today bestselling author of The Nanny
“Fall For Him is a tender, sexy story with all of the angst of grumpy-neighbors-to-unwitting-roommates-to genuine-friendship-to-lovers. As Derek and Dylan navigate their own challenges, they understand each other more and more, and so the romance feels grounded, rich, and full of delicious aching. Even as Andie Burke competently tackles neurodivergent representation, complex pasts, and grief, this is a story about joy, queer family, and the how the greatest love story ever told could be right next door. Spicy and sweet, Fall for Him is a charming queer romance.” — Mae Marvel, author of Everyone I Kissed Since You Got Famous
"FALL FOR HIM is both a sexy romp and an exploration of self love through complicated family dynamics, perfect for fans of HGTV and the shy nerd/confident cool guy dynamic of Levi and Nico from Grey’s Anatomy." Rachel Runya Katz, author of Thank You For Sharing
"Romances don't come funnier or sweeter than Fall for Him. Burke writes with splendid candor and nuance, weaving a tale of forced proximity that will leave your heart bursting. Derek and Dylan may be a nightmare for the HOA in the story but they are an absolute dream to read about!"
Timothy Janovsky, author of The (Fake) Dating Game
“Delightfully charming, vulnerable, and with a happy-ever-after you can’t help but root for…I fell for every moment of Andie Burke’s swoony romance.” Chip Pons

Derek already vehemently dislikes his upstairs neighbor Dylan, so when Dylan falls through the ceiling onto Derek's bed due to a renovation error, Derek is incensed. Now there's a hole in the ceiling that is prohibitively expensive to fix, and even worse, it will be a major headache to handle with the building HOA. But Dylan, skilled in carpentry, promises to keep the hole a secret from management and lower the costs by taking care of the repairs himself. The only catch is that he and Derek have to share quarters while he works on it. Their animosity soon melts away into mutual lust and love, but mistaken assumptions, childhood traumas, workplace stress, and painful secrets threaten to derail their relationship before it even begins. VERDICT With strong friendships, a full cast of delightful characters, and a story told from alternating points of view, this enemies-to-lovers and forced-proximity romance from Burke (Fly with Me) explores serious issues such as neurodivergence, alcohol-use disorder, toxic family expectations, forgiveness, and grief, while still being a steamy, humorous, and hopeful read.—Migdalia Jimenez
