About the Author

Joseph Cadotte is an editor and sub rosa game designer at Innovative Learning Solutions, an educational software company. In addition, he runs the publishing cooperative Old Sins along with Elizabeth Kidder and Cordelia Norris, his frequent collaborators. He has a BA in English from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Washington in Seattle. A child of a professor, he was born into the educational field and spent over fifteen years teaching English, Creative Writing, web scripting languages, and Marketing. Joseph is the author three works of science fiction: the graphic novel A Soft Murder, the espionage romance In the Land of Nod, and the space opera Job, Herself. He has edited two anthologies, both on alternate history: Beyond Steampunk and Fake News. Mr. Cadotte has lived all over the United States, but tends to return to the Southeast, where he was raised, and Michigan, where his extended family live. Currently, he can be found in Wilmington, NC, with frequent forays to his hometown of Knoxville, TN. He is celebrating 22 years with Cordelia Norris, who married him in 2002 in Traverse City, MI, and, together, they have a three year old named Jacob. Joseph is obsessed with history, religion, folklore, the sciences, and economics, but is really only any good at the first three. His writing tends to reflect this.
Sally Smith graduated in 1996 from Maryville College, with a BA in Fine Arts & English Lit. Since then, she has published a book of poetry and worked painting everything from people to buildings to cars (and pretty much anything else you can imagine). Her current city (and place of origin) is Knoxville, Tennessee.
