This book is about Faith's life as a military "brat". Her Dad, Lieutenant Travis Perkins, is a 22-year Active Duty Air Traffic Controller in the world's finest United States Navy. For some, this is an awesome accomplishment but to Faith this means long military deployments, many absences away from her Dad, as well as, other family members, and feelings of sadness.

Through a conversation with her Mom, Faith hopes she can help all military brats feel they have rightfully and respectfully earned the title, Military Brat!

About the Author

Neka Perkins was born and raised in Longs, South Carolina. After graduating high school, she attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in Management. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management and a Certification in Government Contracting from Troy University. Almost 14 years later, she serves as a Senior Labor Relations Advisor for the Department of the Navy. She recently became a Best Selling and International Best Selling Author in the U.S. and Canada.

Faith is just a young six years old and is living her best life. She recently completed the first grade at the Rock Academy in San Diego, California. Although Faith doesn’t realize the impact she already has on lives, she has impacted so many different people ranging from different ages and races through her intelligence, wisdom, and poise. She loves gymnastics, dancing, traveling, and cheerleading.

To date, they have four published books and is currently working on two more. They are also the owners of Kids Need Faith 2, LLC where she and Faith strives to inspire and motivate young kids to never give up through their books, clothing tag lines and inspiration.
