Overview

This is the first of two compilations of poetry I created between the years of 1998 through 2007. I have waited quite a while to self publish these poems. We're now in an age that makes it so much more convenient to do so, thankfully. These poems or "Expressions" are just that. Things I was going through at that time of my life as a younger woman, spurts of creative desires needing to be caught in time and often desired to be shared and 'expressed' with others. Now, it can be done and I am thankful for this. I hope that this book of poems will become one of your most favorite literary treasures, and I, one of your favorite most loved authoresses."

About the Author

Diamond Carbon is born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is a small business owner of her own sole proprietorship: Black Empress Higher Realm Goods & Services. Along with writing, she also is a semi-professional gamer, mobile app and product tester. She has also sold baked goods, along with making her own soaps, skin and hair creams and oils. She is also a Spiritual Counselor that is into many of the spiritual arts (i.e.: tarot, playing cards, Nahualli {spirit animals}, passed loved ones messages, tea, coffee cup, and dream interpretations, numerology, Lenormand readings, etc.). EXPRESSIONS: 98 THRU 07 is her first ever published book and a work that has been waiting over two decades for an audience. She is the only child of Syvile M. and Charles L. together, who have both transitioned from the earthly realm, although raised by her mother, Syvile alone. She has adult offspring, two daughters and one son and a host of grandchildren. She is single and has never married. She is a foodie and loves everything from sushi, seaweed salad, chai tea, coffee, to ginger beer, chocolate chip cookies, to potato chips ????. She's an avid music lover as well.
