About the Author

At my college, my students affectionately call me Professor 3d. I think I like that. I have always been interested in mathematics and art. These interests led me to computer illustration. I bought Adobe Illustrator 88 (version 1) as soon as it became available. As a boy, I had been drawing comic book characters like Spiderman and Superman for years (my mother thought I was wasting my time). Illustrator was a game changer for pencil sketch artists like me. For the first time, I could easily add ink and color to my drawings. When Adobe released Photoshop, I was an early adopter. Like Illustrator, Photoshop made it possible for me to take my art to the next level.

Today, I use Strata Design 3d to create 3d animations and interactive multimedia products. As an associate professor, I enjoy passing on computer based art techniques and methods to my students at Southwest Tennessee Community College.
