Overview

Eddie Floyd resurfaced in the late '70s on the Jackson-based label that many felt would become the new Stax in the '70s and '80s. It didn't, but that's another story. This album did moderately well on a regional level, and a nice Floyd duet with Dorothy Moore even reached the middle of the R&B charts. But by the late '70s, soul was no longer palatable as a national sound. ~ Ron Wynn
