In the distant future, on twin planets settled by a group called the New Aged Hippies, duels between women are legal. These duels are mainly hand-to-hand combat to the death. They broadcast most of these fights on live television.
Eva's mother dies during a duel after the promotors replaces her challenger with a professional fighter. The eleven-year-old Eva views this as murder. At her mother's funeral she vows to revenge her death when she turns twenty-one.
At eighteen she joins a fighting academy to get the fighting skills needed during a duel. She competes in many fighting based sports events during her three years at the academy. During this time she makes true friends and one of them becomes her lover.
