Overview

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Evangelion anime series' debut, Evangelion Finally is a soundtrack compilation featuring some of the most notable vocal songs used on the shows Neon Genesis Evangelion and Evangelion 2.0. Mostly splitting tracks between singers Yoko Takahashi and Megumi Hayashibara, the album also features contributions from Loren & Mash (the Shin Evangelion theme "Thanatos -IF I Can't Be Yours") and Arianne Schreiber ("Komm, Susser Tod"). In addition to the beloved theme song "The Cruel Angel's Thesis," the set includes new versions of "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Kokoro yo Genshi ni Modore." Released in Japan in late 2020, Evangelion Finally received release in the U.S. in May 2021, peaking just outside the Top 100 on the Billboard 200. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
