Claire Molloy is a success. She left her small-town life in the Midwest and made her mark on the big stage in California, where she built her own company and made her fortune. She excelled in a field that few women care to enter and has engineering patents in her name. Now she lives a quiet life in the hills above Cupertino, where she paints and reflects on the life she has had — and on the life she might have had. It seems like a comfortable life.
