Ethan McBride is having an odd experience. His sketches and drawings seem to be taking on a life of their own! His stern Grandma Gert forbids him to draw, but Ethan finds himself drawn into a strange new world called Midgaard. In this land of forests, mountains and purple oceans, he is apprentice to a warrior gnome, befriended by an accursed tree sylph and finds acceptance like he has never known back home. He years to share Midgaard with his friend, Lilly, but finds out that he can't protect her from the deathly danger that lies in wait for her there. He must save her by mastering his magical drawing powers and defeating the hidden evils lurking in the forest.
