Erec Et Enide (Illustrated)
*Illustrated
*Includes Table of Contents

Little is known about the life of Chretien de Troyes, but much is known about his work. A 12th century French Poet, de Troyes served at the court of Marie of France, Countess of Champagne, and he wrote several Arthurian tales that are still considered some of the medieval era’s best literature. The manner in which he structured some of his stories, such as Yvain, the Knight of the Lion, has been considered by some scholars to be one of the prequels to the modern novel.

This edition of de Troyes’ Arthurian tale Erec et Enide is specially formatted with a Table of Contents and is illustrated with over a dozen illustrations depicting Arthurian figures and de Troyes’ work.
