Dr. Rekha Shrivastava, M.A., Ph. D (Sociology) currently head the Faculty' of Sociology, Haryana Institute of Public Administration, Govt. of Haryana. Previously she was Social Scientist in Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Scientific Research, New Delhi. She worked as Senior Research Officer in National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, Govt. of India, New Delhi. She did her Doctorate from University of Jamia Milia Islamiq New-Delhi. Her areas of specialization, among others are Women's Rights and their issues, Children Rights and Juvenile Justice System, and Gender Studies. She is author of several research papers and articles published in reputed journals and edited volumes. She has written a book entitled "Women and Crime in India: A Study of Socio Culture Dynamics". She has been the life member of Indian Social Science Association, and Indian Society of Criminology.
