Overview

When your moment comes, what will you make of it?

At the age of five, Melanie Armstrong watched her fragile world melt when both her parents were dragged away from her and her brothers as part of The Peter Pan Project. Apollo, the leader of the area formerly known as the United States, separated siblings and families to create a world where "family" has a different kind of meaning. He also created a place called Paradise for a select group of young men and women when they reach the age of 18.

But Mel receives a letter warning her that Paradise isn't what it seems. And when she's selected, her moment arrives. She must make the most of it or suffer a fate worse than death.

About the Author

About The Author
R.J. Patterson is an award-winning novelist and national-award winning journalist living in the Pacific Northwest. After moving west to chase adventure and the great outdoors, he enjoys a quiet life with his wife and three children.

Brooke Jay’s passion for books was a direct result of her mischievousness as a young child. Whenever she misbehaved, her parents sent her to her room — where she read lots of books. Some of those books included Ramona books and the Junie B. Jones series. Her mom thought that Junie B. Jones was a bad influence on her attitude, but she always ended up reading those books after she was sent to her room. Brooke’s dream is to one day live in a big city—or at least go to college in one.
