Ellie's Grand Christmas Wish

Overview

Can one small elephant change the future of her circus friends? That's the question Ellie has been thinking about since she heard the human children talking about Santa Claus.
All the children were excited because they had things they wanted Santa to bring to them.
Ellie doesn't no know if there is a Santa, but she wanted to believe there was. She wanted to see all her friends who are sad and don't want to be in the circus, go back to their homes.
Tremayne, and old lion, says he doesn't remember what it's like to be free. Obo is so old and sad that he can barely get up off the ground to do his tricks for the people.
Ellie knows that if ever it was a time to make a grand wish, this was the time.
She wishes that Santa would come to her. When Santa shows up in her stalls and take her with him on his Christmas Eve run, Ellie sees wonders she didn't know existed. The question is, is Santa going to grant her wish, or will she only have memories of how it could be?

About the Author

I am Sherry Raby, and high atop a mountain in central Pennsylvania, is where I live. I have been writing ever since I can remember. Many of the tales I tell have come from have two of our granddaughters live with us when they were very young.
When they couldn't sleep, I would sit by them and tell them bedtime stories. One would give me a location and an animal while the other gave me another animal. I had stories about porcupines and zebras, and dogs who wanted to try the food that giraffes eat.
We did a lot of laughing on those nights, and it all had to do with those stories.
I believe that reading and storytelling is how we make bonds with others. I learned this from my parents, and it is a love of books that I have passed on to my family.
