Overview

In ELEVENTH COMMANDMENT, the reader vividly experiences the people, places and time periods in 1982 Lithuania then through Ellis Island into the 1920s in America. Story line:
God proclaimed the Kohanim, of the tribe of Judah, the guardians of His tabernacle which held the tablets with the Ten Commandments. He made one further Commandment,
“The guardians of my tabernacle may not take wives except they be members of the Tribe of Judah. If this Commandment is broken by any Kohanim, he and his sons shall be written out of my book.”
Through countless generations and migrations, the edict was observed... until 1920. Then in a desolate town in Wyoming, Paul Golden, a direct descendant of the Priests of Israel takes a gentile woman as his wife. Paul’s belief in the ancient edict becomes an obsession that causes him to emotionally destroy his sons, thus making the prophecy come true.

About the Author

Esther G. Walker describes herself as a mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother of twelve who knows what boys and girls think. "The boys and girls in my neigborhood were my inspiration for BOYS' CLUB." She has lived in the California desert almost forever. "There, I met the magical animals that became the subjects of my MARIO series of children's Kindle books." What the modest redhead doesn't mention is that, at age 90 and legally blind, Esther teaches computer and living skills for the blind at Braille Institute of Palm Springs and still finds time to write more children's and adult fiction for Kindle. IMAGINE THIS and IMAGINE THAT are collections of fairy tales, fantasy and fiction, several of which were previously published on the Los Angeles Times. Her NEWEST Nook book for adults is titled "ELEVENTH COMMANDMENT (An Epic Tale of a Dysfunctional Jewish Family)".
