Overview

"A fun, satirical mystery that proves just how ridiculous partisan politics can be," according to Kirkus Reviews. Elephant Hunt Massacre is a "witty, debut political thriller, heavily laced with satire" and an "unpredictable whodunit" that will keep mystery lovers guessing.

Our young patriot comes to Washington hoping to serve his country. Can he possibly survive? Who needs zombies and vampires when we already have...Members of Congress! Funnier, and more revealing, than 'House of Cards.'

Between craven politicians, a rabid press corps, mountains of money and shady operators of every stripe, there's a serial killer picking off young Republican politicos. Has partisanship finally become fatal? Hold onto your checkbook and don't trust anyone. "Elephant Hunt Massacre" is a dark satire of a town that has lost its marbles.

About the Author

Jon Steinman is from Nebraska. He's a Taurus. The whole package.

Jon is a former journalist, having spent nearly 15 years writing for The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Orlando Sentinel, Key West Citizen and Bloomberg News Washington. He left journalism to form his own communications consultancy, where he worked with non-profits and start-ups. He was soon invited to help establish the U.S. Office of Congressional Ethics, the first independent Congressional oversight body in the nation's history, where he served as the founding communications director. After helping the office win reauthorization in the 112th Congress, Jon returned to consulting for the Washington Media Group.

Jon speaks no foreign languages, still has trouble with long division, is lactose intolerant and short. He holds no grudges about these things. For the most part.

He lives with his wife and two daughters in Washington DC, a town he loves, and spends most of his free time picking up his dog's poop.
