When Lainie Chait was diagnosed with epilepsy at 19 there were three roads to go down -  avoidance, rebellion or acceptance. Lainie decided to travel down all three to see what she would discover. 

ELECTRO GIRL invites you to share her portrayal of a life lived with epilepsy, from denial to acceptance.She hopes to create more awareness and inspire others to think for themselves in relation to managing their health. 

Through her raw, humorous and honest story, Lainie empowers others to manage their conditions holistically; to not accept that there is only one road to health and to stay in the driver's seat of your life after diagnosis of any condition. 

We have one life, to rise up and learn more about how our body and brain operate in order to make life exceptional!

Lainie Chait is the author of Electro Girl, who is a super hero invented by Lainie when she was diagnosed with epilepsy in 1991 at age 19. Lainie has been in the open mic comedy scene in Melbourne, Australia since 2016 which keeps her busy at nights. She also teaches a Companion Animal Services course to students wanting to work with animals during the daytime. Lainie resides in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia but aims to return to the shores near Mullumbimby, New South Wales to build her dream home one day. She is crazy about comedy and loves to DJ in her spare time. She is also passionate about the way our brains work and how much power we have as individuals in keeping ourselves alive and healthy
