About the Author

Mu Pi Chan was born in 1959 in a house that was then in the County of Essex, but which now lies within the London Borough of Havering. He was brought up from a very early age just outside Southend-on-Sea (Essex). He spent three years at the University of Kent at Canterbury (Kent), and has subsequently lived In St Albans (Hertfordshire), Guildford (Surrey), and Romsey (Hampshire). Mu Pi Chan has released twelve volumes of poetry (through Project Gutenberg) covering the period 1973 to early 2015. Most of Mu Pi Chan's poetry is inspired by the world around him, particularly the natural world and the people of which he is fond. Other sources of inspiration are the works of other poets and books on philosophy, science, and religion. His poems include a number of parodies, jokes and poetic aphorisms based on these readings. Mu Pi Chan firmly believes that writing poetry allows him to release the thoughts in his head which would otherwise drive him mad. Mu Pi Chan continues to write and release new works through Project Gutenberg.
