About the Author

Sara Bachmeier has an associate of science degree and taught nursery school for twenty-five years. She opened her own preschool in 1993 and called it Readiness Daycare. She has a unique ability to know when a child is ready to move forward and when its necessary to hold back. We were all programmed to nurture this precise moment of readiness, but sometimes life throws us a curveball and we program ourselves to fall into a routine of familiar and safety at any cost. This routine is designed to protect us for only a heartbeat in time, not our entire lives.
Our life path, purpose, and destiny are like tiny acorn seeds within us. The seeds are waiting to be nurtured or triggered to grow, but every time we miss or ignore our readiness moments in life, a small part of us dies inside and the sturdy oak tree that we are longing to become remains dormant.
Some people use artificial stimuli, drugs, and various addictions to mimic the unique feeling of moving forward in life but instead wake up the next day only to realize that nothing has changed and that these attempts only fuel more illusions. If we continue these empty attempts, we begin to forget about our passions, dreams, and abilities that have been urging our souls to take noticeuntil this silent urge becomes a scream in the form of a healing crisis, a dark night of the soul incident, or a tragedy that will awaken the wounded healer within us.

CHAPTER 1

Finding My Way Back Home

True teaching is not an accumulation of knowledge; it is an awakening of consciousness that goes through successive stages.

— Ancient Egyptian quote

My first recollection of a passion for numbers was when I was three years old and my parents would take me to the Old Mission Santa Barbara for Catholic Sunday Mass. The stone-clad building was ancient, with cracked walls painted in beautiful designs of flowers, petals, leaves, and Celtic symbols. I never understood the sermon, but every now and then, the priest would speak in English and mumble in Latin. My father would methodically jab me with his elbow every time I leaned over to fall asleep on his shoulder. The only way I could promise to stay awake was if I counted all the details displayed on the cathedral walls. That was when I first noticed numerical patterns. There they were, everywhere around me, numbers repeating themselves in the form of symbols. I got excited about the patterns and wondered what the meanings were behind the repetition. I began my counting again on the following Sunday morning, hoping my exploration would lead me to answers.

When I was a young teen, astrology grasped my attention. I suppose this was the beginning of my search for a deeper meaning of life outside of me. I used to conduct personal studies with acquaintances once I learned of their sun signs. I studied people and sun signs for many years, until I eventually became bored. It was not uncommon for me to remember people's birthdays but not their names. I studied astrology so closely that I was able to match people to their birthdays just by reading their energy. Birthdates resonated with me before I could identify a person by name. I think the reason I became bored with astrology is that I found it to be limiting and a lot like religion. It had a way of categorizing people into moulds with positive and negative descriptions, and when people would look at someone's sun sign, they would see the mould before the person. This did not sit right with me because it didn't give people the freedom to express themselves organically. I thought it was somewhat dangerous and impersonal. I believe there is a lot of truth in astrology, especially when it is used to encourage people and motivate them toward their highest abilities. Numbers talk to me on a deep and profound level. I developed my relationship with numbers when I read Dan Millman's book Live the Life You Were Born to Live. I deepened my respect for numbers after realizing that they were associated with unique qualities. I calculated my own birth chart and read the assigned definitions. I was intrigued, but after a while, the same thing happened to me. I started to get bored, and I saw the similar limitations that I associated with my experience studying astrology. There it was again, the category of positive and negative aspects, but this time it was with numbers.

I started researching numbers and found that, like astrology, numbers can be used to categorize people — put people in little boxes so we can better understand them. Is that really the reason, or do we want to understand people so we can manipulate them and get better control of them? Do we fear people so much that we are using these methods to control them?

I was around people who were knowledgeable about astrology, and when I listened to them talk about certain people and their astrological traits, I heard a hint of superiority in their voices. It was if they totally understood this person, even though they never met him or her, by only using the definition behind the position of the stars when he or she was born. This scared me, and I wondered if I did the same thing. I had to ask myself why I needed to understand astrology. Was it to help people better understand their abilities, or was it so I could know (or think I know) something about them without getting to actually know them? And even worse, was I using this method to judge people, to put them in the like or dislike category before keeping an open mind?

By asking all these questions, I actually learned more about myself and my motives (and fears), which sent me on the exploration of mindful meditation. I came to the realization that it would be wise to understand myself better before undertaking the teachings of the divining tools from astrology and numerology. The only reason I learned about these novelties in the first place was to help others and myself, to not feed my ego, and to learn to form sophisticated judgments.

CHAPTER 2

Know Thyself, and Thou Shalt Know the Universe

(Ancient mystery school precept)

What I've learned is that there are no negative and positive astrological or numerological signs to be born into; these are just wonderful, glorious tools we can use to explore, expand, and express our unique blueprints, which brings us to the discussion of duality. Duality exists for balance between the positive and negative; one cannot live without the other. To understand duality truly, one must evolve beyond it. If you're living in duality, you are living with the possibility of judgment, unless you are observing as just a witness. One might ask, "How can I live without duality? How do I live without the effects of positive and negative, yin and yang, white and black, off and on, hot and cold?" And really, the only answer to this is love. When we stop having the need to define differences and to label our experiences, and when we are willing to accept life as perfect exactly as it is, then these binaries naturally disappear from our vocabulary and we elevate to a much higher dimension. This is easier said than done, I know, but practicing the tools of Egyptian numerology and believing in the evolution into the fifth dimension is not only a possibility; it is a reality. I am here to bring you closer to your highest path, purpose, and destiny. It all starts with a vision.

It is within the fifth dimension that I chart Egyptian numerology. This higher level will direct you to your innate abilities, direction, and path. If you are not vibrating at these higher frequencies, I suggest that you ask yourself, "Where am I coming from, and where do I want to go?" If you truly desire to follow your divine purpose, this elevation can lead you where you want to be. I've used numbers and my relationship with numbers as a guide in my life to show me where I am and where I can go. I don't see numbers; I feel numbers vibrating on a cellular level.

I use numbers as guidelines, roadmaps, and markers for events in my life. If interpreted correctly, the frequency of numbers can be more accurate than the GPS that is widely attainable today. (I love GPS, by the way.) If astrology and numerology are not used as a positive reinforcement in your life, then you are not accurately accessing the true source of magic hidden within these powerful divining tools.

How did Egyptian numerology help me? People often ask me this question, and although I always try to answer with the best of intentions, I find that it is an ongoing process. I can say that when I found this technique, I was feeling a little stuck, hazy, and unclear about what the next phase of my life would look like. I had just moved out of state, I was in a new relationship, and nothing in my life looked familiar. When an Egyptian numerology course opened up, I was a little intrigued but didn't think I would learn anything new. I went to the seven-day intensive workshop with an open mind, curious heart, and energetic body. I was surprised that it assisted me in the clarification of my previous path by showing me how my instincts, desires, abilities, and visions were all a part of my DNA. I feel that this was necessary for me to be secure in moving forward in a new and unfamiliar direction. I've always loved the saying "Hindsight is always twenty/twenty." It served as a soul validation and smoothed the bumpy patch of road I was on, making it clear for me to climb my next mountain. It validated that I was right on target, and I felt it. Egyptian numerology became an amazing modality for me not only to express myself but also to guide people toward their mountain paths.

I love the fact that just in case we forgot who we are and where our paths are in life, we have clues hidden in our DNA blueprints. These can be found in iridology, palmistry, astrology, numerology, and more. These are all ways that we can identify the clues to our blueprints so we can find our way back home. It can tell us

• who we are,

• where we came from,

• what our paths are now,

• what our challenges in life will be,

• the special abilities we were born with (and so much more), and

• what our superpowers are.

If you are reading this book, it is not a coincidence that you resonate with numbers. If this is not your ultimate path, it could very well be a useful stepping stone to help you understand which path to take.

Your soul mission is your reason for being, your life purpose. It's your calling in life, including who you feel called to be and what you feel called to do. Mission is an energy that flows through you and a drive, voice, or passion that you cannot ignore. It's what you know in your heart you must live and be if you are to experience inner peace and harmony.

Egyptian numerology is, in reality, the psychology of the soul. The truth is, once you study Egyptian numerology, you realize how accurate it is. You begin to understand that it is a true and ancient science that not only reveals facts about people; it also reveals spiritual laws and universal truths as well.

We left hidden clues to our life purpose in our DNA. We knew through the birthing process and the human experience that we would forget important information about ourselves, so we carefully installed clues to uncover the truth about who we are and what our purpose is in this life journey. We can find this blueprint in our DNA through our birthdates and arithmancy using our birth names. If there is one thing I've learned that I can share with you, it is that all of these methods, techniques, tools, or studies have the ability to lead you to the same place, and that is back home to your true self and toward your divine purpose. If these studies of DNA do not lead you back home, then it is the technique that needs strengthening and improving, not your blueprint. Be careful when you seek outside assistance for the most precious thing on Earth: you!

CHAPTER 3

Becoming and Finding a Chartier

Good news! We don't have to hide anymore. Breaking through old belief systems is about the hardest threat we will encounter in most spiritual practices. We no longer have to be a high priest or shaman to have access to these sacred mysteries. We have access to them because they are becoming easier to learn and to understand. The only initiations that we need to undergo are the ones our souls lead us to. There are many teachers available to us and various modalities to learn by. There has become a growing demand for all individuals to stand up for themselves and claim their right for spiritual wisdom and to become their own gurus.

It is wise to learn these techniques yourself, but if you don't have the time or interest to do so, then look for a teacher who resonates with you. It is best to meet the person who is going to chart for you and get a feeling for that person instead of going by a recommendation. If someone is referred to you, it could be that this person was right for your friend, but you may need someone entirely different. Be selective. Be intuitive. Be right. Don't be afraid to ask questions or have a specific area of your life that you desire to focus on. Before she begins, it is best to let the chartier know the areas of your life that you are most interested in learning about so she can research in that direction.

Numerologists use the same terms — karmic number and life purpose number — but they don't use the same calculations or means of astrology to determine these factors. It can be very confusing if you are using more than one numerologist to determine your birth chart.

Egyptian numerology has a unique tradition that must be honored from teacher to student in order for it to be effective. I call it the "campfire teaching method," which means that this course can only be taught in person by teacher to students. This means that the calculations won't be published in a book or an online course. The method of this process might sound prehistoric in nature, but in the quality of gaining wisdom from a master, it is essential. I haven't found this exclusive method anywhere else, but I vowed to keep the tradition and pass it on. This might explain why I hadn't heard of it before. Several teachers give workshops on Egyptian numerology in both Canada and in the United States. I offer workshops and am willing to teach private groups. I have noticed some Egyptian numerologists charting online, but they don't teach how they calculated the chart. I have read many numerology books and online blogs, and I am fascinated at how much information is available. Remember, as with all online information, to be selective when you search the meaning of things you don't quite understand. Keep an open mind, a good sense of humor, and never stop seeking the truth.

Egyptian numerology follows much of the same format as all other numerology, but it differs in the area of our karmic reasons for being here and our life purpose. The karmic numbers are derived from an astrological chart you won't find anywhere else. This astrological/ karmic chart includes the thirteenth astrological sign Ophiuchus. Ophiuchus has sometimes been used in astrology as a thirteenth sign in addition to the twelve signs of the zodiac. The constellation Ophiuchus, meaning "serpent-bearer," as defined by 1930 International Astronomical Unions constellation, has its boundaries situated behind the sun from November 30 to December 16. By using this exclusive astrological chart, we are able to map out your life purpose by adding your life path number to your karmic number. This makes sense to me because I believe in karma, and I believe that by understanding my karmic frequency, I can better fulfill my life purpose.

This book will show you a doorway into the ancient healing mysteries of Egyptian studies — what they learned, knew, and practiced as well as how they saw a connection with the entire universe and used it to gain insight, wisdom, and power. "Ye are Gods" is a mantra that they believed to be true, and through careful and precise disciplines, the priests were able to achieve greatness in mind, heart, body, and spirit.

This book won't show you how to calculate your birth chart using the Egyptian method, but it will instruct you after you've taken a course. It will also benefit others who are using different numerology methods and want a fifth-dimensional level clarification of number values, and it can explain the different categories we use in the process of creating a personal chart. I found that these areas of interest are somewhat confusing when I first started learning numerology. I wanted a definition of the categories that were used when charting. I wanted to know the difference between a soul urge and a soul path, but what I found was just a lot of repetition of terminology that sounded good but didn't make a lot of sense to me. What I really wanted to know was what was more important: my life purpose or my destiny. I also wanted to know the difference between the birth certificate name (BCN), married name (MN), and primary name (PN).

Isn't it true that the reason people go on a quest is to understand better their truth and to help others? I was on a mission to learn the answer to all these questions and to find my way back home by using numbers to navigate the way. If your psyche responds to numbers, then Egyptian numerology is an amazing adventure on which to travel.

CHAPTER 4

Who Is Your Authority?

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
It was a spring morning, and I was in a sleeping lull somewhere between repose and quiescence. I could hear the birds chirping outside the bedroom window. A voice asked me a question: "What is the name of the space called between the musical notes?"
