EGG Counted Worthy is a basic 123s book written to simplify the ways we can follow Jesus. The numbers and rhyming of the story allow young readers to memorize the poem and utilize it as a prayer to Jesus to be counted worthy to escape the coming years of darkness, just as Jesus instructed us to do, but which many of us forget (Luke 21:36).

EGG Counted Worthy shows images of joy in following Christ, but also does not shy away from the difficulties of following Christ. This no fluff book gives parents an opportunity to discuss the aspects of Christianity and how our actions show us to be disciples of Jesus. About the Author

Nena Kring of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, with only twelve hours notice and no children of her own, found herself in an unexpected position of adopting her four year old nephew, Brenton. Realizing the mental and emotional impact this would have on her nephew, she quickly identified how to care for his mind and emotions in the turmoil. Though it was rocky at first, Nena learned that Brenton loved to be read to with many different voices and facial expressions, and so they happily bonded through books.

It wasn't enough. She soon saw that he had missed precious learning opportunities and was behind on his educational development. She also worried that he would never see her home as his own and think that this was just one stop among many, always to be a nomad. Using construction paper and crayons, Nena decided she would write her first book, The Adventure Book, highlighting a little gator who looked for adventure but was always happy to return home to where his family was. Brenton was that little gator, and the two read The Adventure Book together every day for nearly two years. Within Brenton's first two weeks home, Nena’s first book was written in its simplest form, and just as an author was born, so were a mother and son.

Seven years later, Brenton assists with visual opinions and suggestions in every picture book and is given the honorary title of "visual advisor" in the copyrights. Every book is written with that bond in mind, either to teach and engage, or to play and giggle. Each book written by Nena Kring has his stamp of approval. She prays that her books find their way into the households where they will be read in both happy times and in turmoil, bringing each unique family closer together.
