Overview

In the prequel to the Eddie and Freddy series, readers are introduced to Eddie, a happy little boy, his mommy who he loves to wake up very early in the morning and Freddy, the little puppy that Eddie adopts. After adopting Freddy, Eddie makes the mistake of forgetting to lock the doggy door. When Freddy wanders away from home, Eddie must venture into the woods and rescue his new friend.

This story teaches kids that even when we forget the things our family tells us and wander away from them, we can always come home and be welcomed back with love and compassion. Kids will learn that family and God, our Heavenly Father, will always come after us and rescue us from whatever hole or situation, we have wandered into and need to be rescued from.
