Aaliyah Stottlemyer started writing in the summer of 2022. However they have always loved words and language. They have always been fascinated by the ones most of society uses to describe and express things to others or the world around us. She often struggles to feel a connection to any of the words in the English vocabulary. She doesn’t feel that they are deep enough. True enough. So poetry is her way of coming closer to understanding more of her feelings and thoughts and emotions. It is her way of expressing in ways simple words cannot. It is her way of attempting to beat the feeling of alienation from everyday words.
