Purpose: The purpose is to assist healthcare professionals in learning single-lead ECG interpretation. The high number of quality electrocardiogram strips provides an excellent source for repeated practice, meeting this intent.
Audience: All healthcare professionals at all levels who are new to ECG interpretation could use this to learn the necessary skills. The author is well versed in the topic as an arrhythmia and ACLS instructor.
Features: The book presents an in-depth understanding of the heart, electrophysiology, and the steps of ECG interpretation. The focus is on single-lead interpretation from a cardiac monitor, not 12-lead ECG interpretation. All essential dysrhythmias are covered from sinus through pacemakers. An amazing 600 strips are available for practice that are of excellent quality. Also included are an arrhythmia summary and arrhythmia flashcards that can be pulled out of the book. In addition, a free enhanced ebook is available that may be downloaded on up to four devices.
