Description: This book teaches basic ECG interpretation and presents many ECG strips on which to practice. The previous edition was published in 2007. The book includes an accompanying website with additional resources, but I was unable to access it.
Purpose: The aim is to provide the ultimate reference for any situation in which ECG interpretation is needed. This book is similar in content to many ECG interpretation books in the market.
Audience: All healthcare professionals who need to learn basic ECG interpretation would be interested in this book. The author has been in healthcare many years and teaches electrocardiography.
Features: The book covers basic ECG interpretation as well as the beginning of 12-lead interpretation. The visuals are appealing, and the ECG strips are full size, making it easier to evaluate. The end of the book has 300 strips for practice. This is a nice feature, since this skill takes much practice to master.
Assessment: This is a top-quality book on the interpretation of basic ECG strips. Unfortunately, the market is full of similar books. If chosen, this one would be a helpful book for healthcare providers.
