Eating Las Vegas 2016
Restaurant guides typically give readers a singular viewpoint. Eating Las Vegas triples the ante, offering reviews and tips from three respected Las Vegas food critics who hail from completely different backgrounds, lifestyles, and tastes--yet accomplished the near-impossible to come up with a list of the city's top restaurants that all three confidently could recommend.

Now in its fourth year, Eating Las Vegas has become the premier source for Las Vegas-dining information. In addition to the trademark "50 Essential" eateries, the 2016 edition features new stand-alone guides to the city's best steakhouses and the Chinatown "corridor," plus an expanded section of quick-reference lists highlighting the Sin City's best bets for Mexican, Italian/pizza, burgers, desserts, sushi, cocktails, cheap eats, late-night dining, buffets, dive bars, craft breweries, and more. With full-color illustration throughout, and reviews that span everything from the Strip's most lavish dining rooms and rarefied tasting menus, to hole-in-the-wall ethnic gems, Eating Las Vegas puts the city's entire menu of eating experiences on your plate, with great flair but sans any gratuitous garnish.

About the Author

Lead author John Curtas has been covering the Las Vegas restaurant scene since 1995—for 15 years as a restaurant/critic commentator on KNPR-Nevada Public Radio and also as a critic for Las Vegas Life, CityLife, and Las Vegas Weekly magazines. He appears regularly on KLAS TV (CBS) Channel 8’s “Dishing and Dining,” and KVBC TV (NBC) as a guest commentator, and as a judge on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.” Curtas’ co-authors, Greg Thilmont and Mitchell Wilburn, are two of Las Vegas’ top food critics, specializing in the city’s vibrant non-casino dining scene.
