Overview

From the author of As Good As It Gets, Cooking Skills for Life, Volume 1, this book is the prequel to her soon to be released second in the series, Good Food Bad Food, Cooking Skills for Life, Volume 2. It is all that you will need to know to eat smart, to eat a diet which slows cellular aging and promotes wellness. The anti-aging diet is based on the belief that all age related chronic disease is the result of inflammation caused by inflammatory foods. And, that inflammatory foods are acid producing. Based on a diet consisting of meals that are at least 60% alkaline producing, the author documents how she reversed the age related symptoms of hypercholesterolemia, hypthyroidism, common age related joint, muscle and skin problems and most importantly, a blood glucose that declined from 109 to 85 in 6 weeks. Eat smart, America!

About the Author

After years of teaching young adults how to cook and a decade of experimentation with anti-aging gastronomy, the author put the two together to offer up her solution to obesity and the age related chronic diseases that plagued her just as they plague the majority of Americans today. Hoping to give the next generation a chance at better health, Angela Bell began a series of lessons taught through publication. First a simple easy to learn "how to" that teaches the basic cooking methods from scratch and now a primer for those who want to reduce their risk for chronic disease including diabetes II. This is a prequel to the follow on book, Good Food Bad Food, volume 2 of the series, Cooking Skills for Life due out in paperback in August.
