About the Author

At seven years old, Carrington was diagnosed with dyslexia, bringing confusion and, honestly, a little shame. She had to reshape how she felt about herself and redefine how she would choose to lead her life as a person with a "learning difference". With the help of her family, teachers, and instructors, she discovered a way to process language.
My goal is to create spaces for people that foster inclusion, confidence, and tools to manage and master the challenges of learning and achieving with dyslexia. My purpose is to raise awareness of this disorder. Through my books, I am hopeful to raise awareness and promote literacy in the Dyslexia community while negating misconceptions about dyslexia and dyslexics ability to succeed in school and life.
