Overview

This saga is set just after the Civil War. It tells the story of a self-ordained preacher, who at one time was a hell-raisin' soldier, who comes to a sleepy town to assist with the reconstruction of the local church. There he meets a semi-wild child, a young girl who ran to the mountains after she was orphaned during the war. She was so disheveled when they found her, the townfolk could not determine her age. When the cleaned her up, they discovered she is 18 years old.
