Based on the series of graphic novels from Robert Kirkman, AMC's horror series The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick, a lawman who wakes up from a coma to discover that a cataclysmic event has transformed much - though not all - of humanity into zombies. Eventually he reunites with his loved ones, who have gone on the run with a motley crew of survivors. Despite endless obstacles, both human and undead, the group continue to fight for survival, as they encounter other bands of people seeking to create new lives for themselves within the decimated world. The program debuted in October 2010 and quickly became the biggest ratings hit in AMC history to that point in time.
