Although the "Holiday" come-on is something of a snow job, there is enough Tom & Jerry merriment and mayhem in this collection of mostly '60s-vintage cartoons to brighten any season. Three 'toons -- the 1954 Hanna-Barbera classic "Mice Follies," Chuck Jones's "Snowbody Loves Me," and "The A-Tom-Inable Snowman" -- justify the collection's wintry title. The rest is a mixed bag: Hanna-Barbera's "Designs on Jerry" (1955), Jones's "I'm Just Wild About Jerry" (1965), Academy Award winner Gene Deitch's "Tom & Jerry's Cartoon Kit" (1962), and the space odyssey "Advance and Be Mechanized" (1967).
