Overview

In this off-beat western set in a town upon the Arkansas-Missouri border that is supposedly one of the few not involved in the Civil War, a cultured young woman is about to be hanged as a Confederate spy. The accusation is based on conjecture not on fact. She is suspected because she is from the East, runs a saloon by herself, and is a better shot than most men. Her boy friend is the real culprit, but no one even notices him. Meanwhile outlaws ride to town, and a town drunk struggles with his grief.
