Brian Skeet's talky psychological drama The Weekend comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of the film. The English soundtrack is solid for a dialogue-heavy film like this one. Genre enthusiasts, as well as those with an interest in the stellar cast (Gena Rowlands, Jared Harris, D.B. Sweeney, and Brooke Shields) will find something of interest on this release from Strand.
