Overview

In this drama, set in Southern California, a lovely rancher brings her ailing horse to a veterinarian and ends up falling in love. When the vet is overwhelmed by an anthrax epidemic among the local cattle, the woman resents the veterinarian's seeming lack of concern for her pony.

Editorial Reviews

Stallion Road, an on-screen credit promises, was "produced with the cooperation of the American Humane Association," a relief, presumably, to anyone fearing that the cattle -- let alone Ronald Reagan -- actually came down with anthrax. The anthrax outbreak is, in retrospect mostly, the only interesting aspect of this rather plodding drama; that and some fine scenery apparently filmed on location in the Sierras.
