Wes Anderson's sophomore effort, Rushmore, comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. There are neither subtitles nor closed-captions on this release, and supplemental materials are limited to a theatrical trailer. This disc does a fine job presenting the film, but anyone wishing to take a deeper look at the film would do well with the more expensive, extras-laden Criterion version.
