This youth-oriented comedy -- co-directed by Bob Weinstein and Harvey Weinstein, who would go on to form Miramax Entertainment -- gets a streamlined presentation for its release on DVD. Playing for Keeps has been given a letterboxed transfer at its original widescreen aspect ratio, and has also been enhanced for 16 x 9 playback on widescreen monitors. The original English-language soundtrack has been mastered in Dolby Digital Surround, as is an alternate dubbed version in Spanish, while the disc also features optional subtitles in French and Spanish. No additional bonus material has been included.
