This made-for-cable adaptation of William Trevor's novel has been given a solid presentation for its release on DVD. My House in Umbria has been transferred to disc in letterboxed format in the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1; the images have also been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors. The original English-language audio track has been presented in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a dubbed version in Spanish appears in Dolby Digital Stereo. Optional English, French, and Spanish subtitles are also offered on this edition. Bonus materials include a commentary track with director Richard Loncraine and executive producer Frank Doelger discussing the film, as well as text biographies of the key cast and crew members.
