The excessive '80s fueled this lavish, campy soap about the Carringtons, a brood of beautiful bed-hoppers with twisted family ties and huge shoulder pads. Taking a cue from `Dallas', the series had a stable of high-profile secondary players, including Rock Hudson and Diahann Carroll. Aaron Spelling struck gold with the show, which spun off 1985's `The Colbys.'
